PRIVACY POLICY

Your presets are yours.

This policy explains what TouchRig processes when you use the website and iPhone or iPad app, why we process it, and the choices available to you.

Effective September 3, 2026 · Last updated September 3, 2026

1. Who we are

TouchRig provides a website and companion iOS app for creating and using touch-based MIDI controllers from compatible guitar-processor presets. In this policy, “TouchRig,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the operator of those services.

Questions or privacy requests can be sent to jacob@stayfitapps.com.

2. Information we process

Preset and controller information

When you use the converter, we process the preset file you choose to upload, the modified preset produced for you, and a compact TouchRig controller document. That controller document can include the preset name, effect and parameter names, MIDI assignments, value ranges, identifiers, and creation dates.

Temporary transfers are stored under a random, hard-to-guess link so that the app can retrieve them. The modified preset and matching controller transfer are scheduled for deletion one hour after creation. Anyone who has the transfer link during that period may be able to access it, so do not share the QR code or link publicly.

Optional account information

You can use TouchRig without an account. If you sign in with Apple or Google, our authentication provider processes an account identifier and may provide your name, email address, and profile information according to the choices you made with that provider. TouchRig uses the account identifier to keep your cloud-synced controller documents private to your account.

Support communications

If you contact us, we receive the information you include, such as your email address, device details, screenshots, preset examples, and the contents of your message. Please remove information you do not want us to receive.

Technical information

Our hosting, security, and authentication providers may automatically process limited technical records needed to deliver and protect the service, such as IP address, browser or device type, request time, requested page, authentication events, and error or security logs. The website may use local storage, cookies, or similar technologies to maintain sign-in state and essential preferences.

Information that stays on your device

Presets stored locally in the app, app settings, and MIDI activity remain on your device unless you choose an import, transfer, cloud-sync, or support feature that sends information elsewhere. Camera access is used to recognize transfer QR codes; TouchRig does not upload or retain camera images for that purpose.

3. How we use information

We use information only as reasonably necessary to:

  • convert presets and deliver temporary transfers;
  • authenticate accounts and provide optional cloud synchronization;
  • operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve TouchRig;
  • respond to support requests and service communications;
  • prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Use; and
  • comply with law and protect users, TouchRig, and others.

TouchRig does not sell personal information, serve targeted advertising, or use third-party advertising trackers. We do not use your preset content to train generative AI models.

4. When information is shared

We use service providers that process information on our behalf to operate TouchRig, including Cloudflare for hosting and temporary transfer storage, Google Firebase for authentication and optional cloud synchronization, and Apple or Google when you choose their sign-in service. Their handling of information is also governed by their own privacy terms.

We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce our terms, investigate abuse, protect rights or safety, or complete a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or transfer of the service. We do not allow service providers to use your information for their own advertising.

5. Retention and deletion

  • Temporary transfers: scheduled for deletion one hour after creation.
  • Cloud-synced controllers: retained while your account is active or until you delete the controller or account.
  • Local app data: retained on your device until you remove it, delete the app, or erase the device.
  • Support and security records: retained only as long as reasonably needed for support, security, legal, and operational purposes.

You can delete individual presets in the app. To delete your TouchRig account and cloud-synced presets, open TouchRig and choose Settings → Account → Delete Account. You may also contact jacob@stayfitapps.com for help. Deletion may not immediately remove limited backup or security records where retention is required or permitted by law.

6. Security and international processing

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including account-based access controls, encrypted network connections, short-lived transfer links, and limited retention. No service can guarantee absolute security. Keep transfer links private and contact us if you believe your account or content has been accessed without permission.

TouchRig and its providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate legal mechanisms and provider commitments for those transfers.

7. Your choices and rights

You may use the core local and transfer workflow without signing in, decline camera access and import a file instead, sign out, delete cloud content, or request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of personal information associated with you. Rights vary by location, and we may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.

You can manage Apple or Google permissions through those providers. Removing provider access does not necessarily delete your TouchRig account, so use the in-app deletion control or contact us if you want the account removed.

8. Children

TouchRig is not directed to children under 13, or the minimum age required to consent to online services where they live. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below that age. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as TouchRig changes. We will post the revised policy here, update the “Last updated” date, and provide additional notice when required by law. Continued use after an update means the new policy applies from its effective date.
