1. Acceptance

By accessing or using TouchRig, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use TouchRig. You must be legally able to enter into this agreement. If you use TouchRig for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

2. What TouchRig provides

TouchRig helps you analyze compatible preset files, create a modified copy containing selected MIDI assignments, transfer a matching controller document, and operate that controller from a compatible Apple device. Features, compatibility, limits, and availability may change as the service develops.

You are responsible for maintaining an unmodified backup of every original preset and for reviewing the generated copy before using it in practice, recording, rehearsal, or performance.

3. Accounts and access

An account is optional for core use. If you create one, provide accurate information, protect access to your Apple or Google account, and notify us if you suspect unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity conducted through your account.

Temporary QR codes and transfer URLs function like private access links. Anyone who obtains one may be able to retrieve its contents until it expires. You are responsible for sharing and displaying those links appropriately.

4. Your content

You retain any rights you have in files, preset data, controller configurations, feedback, and other content you submit. You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to process that content with TouchRig.

You grant TouchRig a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, copy, modify, transmit, and delete submitted content solely as needed to provide, secure, and support the features you request. This license ends when the content is deleted from active systems, subject to reasonable backup, security, and legal retention.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use TouchRig to:

• upload content you do not have permission to use;
• violate intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, or other rights;
• introduce malware or attempt to bypass security, access controls, file limits, or rate limits;
• probe, disrupt, overload, scrape, or interfere with TouchRig or its providers;
• access another person’s account, cloud data, or transfer without authorization;
• use automated means to create excessive transfers or consume unreasonable resources; or
• use TouchRig in violation of applicable law.

6. License to the app and service

Subject to these terms and any applicable App Store terms, TouchRig grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app and service for their intended purpose. You may not sell, sublicense, copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer TouchRig except where applicable law expressly permits it.

If you send suggestions or feedback, you allow us to use them without restriction or compensation, while we remain responsible for our own implementation.

7. Third-party products and services

TouchRig relies on or interoperates with third-party hardware, software, identity providers, app stores, hosting services, and network connections. Their terms and privacy policies apply to their services. We do not control them and cannot guarantee their continued compatibility or availability.

TouchRig is an independent product and is not affiliated with, authorized by, sponsored by, or endorsed by Line 6 or Yamaha Guitar Group. Line 6, Helix, HX, HX Stomp, and HX Edit are trademarks of their respective owners.

8. Changes, suspension, and termination

We may update, limit, suspend, or discontinue features to maintain security, comply with law, respond to provider changes, or improve TouchRig. We may suspend or terminate access when we reasonably believe these terms have been violated or the service or others are at risk.

You may stop using TouchRig at any time. You can delete your account and cloud-synced presets from the app under Settings → Account → Delete Account.

9. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TouchRig is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, or error-free operation. We do not warrant that a generated preset will work with every hardware, firmware, software, adapter, network, or performance setup.

Musical equipment and live-performance systems can behave unexpectedly. Test generated presets, controller assignments, levels, routing, and connections at a safe volume before relying on them. TouchRig is not responsible for third-party equipment, software, presets, services, or data loss.

Nothing in these terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TouchRig and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of presets, data, revenue, profits, goodwill, or performance opportunities arising from or related to TouchRig.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, total liability for all claims relating to TouchRig will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for TouchRig during the 12 months before the claim or US $100. These limitations do not apply where prohibited by law.

11. Applicable law

These terms are governed by applicable law, without limiting any mandatory consumer protections available where you live. If a dispute arises, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it informally.

12. Changes and general terms

We may update these terms by posting a revised version and changing the “Last updated” date. Material changes will receive additional notice when required. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. A delay in enforcing a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer this agreement without our consent; we may transfer it as part of a reorganization or transfer of TouchRig.
